Licensed Psychologist

Welcome to my practice. I am a clinical psychologist who works with children, teens, young adults, and parents. I provide individual therapy, parent coaching, and consultation to address the following concerns: anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, life transitions, ADHD, learning differences, interpersonal difficulties, and developmental issues. I strive to develop a trusting and supportive connection with my clients and their families. My therapeutic approach is individualized and collaborative, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) primarily, as well as mindfulness-oriented techniques and insight-oriented therapies.

About Dr. McCulloch

I grew up in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. I then returned to D.C., where I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Children’s National Medical Center, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore.

During the course of my clinical training, I provided individual, group, and family therapy for children and adolescents with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I also obtained experience conducting diagnostic and assessment evaluations in a variety of specialty clinics, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD/learning disorders, developmental, neuropsychological, behavioral sleep medicine, and psychosis/special diagnostics.

Following my training, I spent five years as a staff psychologist at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA) in Rockville, MD, a community-based day and residential treatment center for youth with severe emotional and behavioral problems. In this position, I provided diagnostic assessments, individual and family therapy, crisis management, and ongoing consultation with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, teachers, school administrators, and residential staff.

From 2016-2019, I provided therapy and consultation for children, teens, and young adults, as well as parent coaching, at Georgetown Psychology, a private practice group in Bethesda.
